Five soldiers who died during the liberation of the village from the Nazi invaders on September 5, 1943 were buried in two mass graves. The village was liberated on September 12, 1943. The names of all the dead are known. In 1976, a concrete sculpture of a woman encased in bronze was installed in the center of the memorial against the background of a pylon on a reinforced concrete base. In 1978, two reinforced concrete steles with the names of 212 compatriot soldiers who died during the Second World War were installed on both sides of the sculpture.
