233 soldiers who died during the defensive battles for the village in early October 1941 and who died during its liberation from the Nazi invaders on September 1, 1943 and died of wounds in the hospitals stationed here are buried here. The names of 32 soldiers and 2 partisans are known. Also buried in the grave is the commander of the Khotyn partisan detachment named after Khrushchev S. Zvyagin and scout of the same detachment F. Priimenko. In 1950, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which in the same year a concrete sculpture of a warrior was installed on a brick pedestal and a cast-iron tombstone with a memorial inscription and the names of the dead was placed. In 1975, 11 cast-iron plates with the names of 261 compatriot soldiers who died during the Second World War and a memorial inscription were installed behind the grave on a concrete base at an angle.
