Vasily Ivanovich Tupikov (31 December 1901, Kursk - 20 September 1941, Avdiivka village, Poltava region[1]) was a Soviet military commander, Major General (1940). During the war, he was Chief of Staff of the Southwestern Front (from July 1941). He was killed in action on 20 September near the town of Lokhvytsia, Poltava region. The monument of history
