The Nazis executed Yevhen Pavlovych Rykov, a seriously wounded divisional commissar and member of the military council of the Southwestern Front, on the territory of the Lokhvytsia District Hospital in September 1941. A memorial sign was erected at the place of his death. The historical monument is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine under the category of local significance (protection no. 2992-Pl). Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine of 25.02.2020 No. 1062.
