The reinforced concrete seated figure of T. Shevchenko is placed on a rectangular plinth made of crushed stone. The composition and execution of the figure are close to the generally accepted manner of depicting Kobzar in Soviet times: a pensive face full of deep emotion, a high forehead, thick furrowed eyebrows, and a long mustache. The bent head is supported near the chin by the left hand, in the right - a closed book. The composition is characterized by a static feeling, which is also emphasized by the rectangular pedestal.
