Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin is a biologist and plant breeder, author of many varieties of fruit and berry crops, and an academician of the All-Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He developed methods for breeding fruit and berry plants, was engaged in the development of methods for breeding new varieties of fruit crops, and in breeding work.
